This is a prime example of why I so passionately loath and dislike the fashion and esthetics industry. It makes everything natural and normal regarding the human body as something fake. People have hair for a reason. Especially pubic hair. It is not gross or unclean! Quite the contrary. It serves multiple purposes. But fashion and porn make any hair below the head on men or women out to be some nasty and abnormal thing. They couldn't be more wrong! And this is coming from a guy that doesn't have an obsession with hair. I just think we should appreciate our own body and the body of others as it comes. It's who we are. Its how we are made. Why reject ourselves and others over false ideas and fake unrealistic fashion statements?
@KeziL So are you denying that body hair serves a purpose? Are you saying that after many thousands of years of our bodies being the way they are with hair for what we can now document through science regarding the multiple critical reasons for hair, that we somehow had it wrong and only in the last 20 years of body hair removal we now have it right? Why loath something that makes up your body fingerprint? It's who you are. I can't help think that it's simply pop culture that has mentally conditioned so many into thinking that they are somehow by default "gross" or unclean when in fact it's the opposite. Pretty sad.
I don’t care if it serves a purpose. Now that we have clothing and shower regularly, we don’t need body hair to keep us warm, clean, and free of disease. I’ve hated body hair since I was a child, my arm hair was too dark and nobody EVER mentioned it to me but it bothered me so much that I got rid of it once I knew how. We don’t need hair for those critical reasons anymore, it’s just gross.
@KeziL "just gross" isn't a very educated or mature argument, I'm sorry. It's "gross" to you because at some point you were unknowingly conditioned from multiple influences that it is gross. In reality, there is nothing gross about it. Hair is normal, no hair is abnormal. Are you a reptile or a mammal? You can't escape who and what you are. Why not just learn to be comfortable with who and what you are?
sorry for not making an educated or mature argument against body hair. I don't have one. I just don't like it. It's whatever, not like I'm mean to people about it, I just have my preferences just like you seem to have yours. If Chewbacca's your type, power to ya.
Laser hair removal is only something like 20% effective and usually takes 3 or 4 treatments to remove the hair follicles. Even then, there is usually only a 2-3 year guarantee the hair follicles will not grow again.
Best advice is to get yourself an epilator - it's more effective than waxing and less painful. Mainly as it doesn't remove the surface skin cells like waxing does.
Only if that is still not enough, get a Philips IPL hair remover.
I would like to do it but I would be afraid of the risk of being burnt (lots of people have been burnt because of it) so I'm really afraid of it and also it's extremely expensive which suck. I would only do it if I have lots of money and found someone who I'm sure would do it safely.

If money wasn't an issue, I would love to get laser hair removal on my entire body, leaving only eyebrows, eyelashes, and the hair on my head. I've never waxed, only shaved, so pain isn't an issue, but it's annoying and there's that one part that I can never get right.
This is why I advocate for women to not hold themselves to unreasonable beauty standards. Hair is natural haha :) But if they really want to remove hair, I think the laser is best way to go, especially long-term
If you hate hair, I reccomend the laser then haha 😂 My cousin was a super hairy girl and she got the laser. She is super happy. Shaving and waxing is painful, time consuming. And annoying
I'm an auburn-red head with really fair skin, so it took longer to get the desired result, but other than a little touch up here and there, I've got nothing below my nose. Its weird getting goosebumps when there's no follicle to raise.
I still get some light whisps of very fine hairs in places, so I (used to) go back every 6-8 months for some spot treatments. Laser is bulk removal and thins out over time to becoming almost none with repeated treatment. The only 'permanent' removal is electrolysis, but its costly, and supposedly hurts more. I've got a bunch of piercings, so the pain factor wasn't a consideration, but I didn't feel right in the cost (or time).

I feel better when bare. In fact, I never thought twice about not having body hair, it feels just gross on me. Also, razor stubble is irritating when dry and feels like fire ants on my skin when sweaty, not to mention the countless, ever so tiny nicks and cuts that burn and sometimes lead to infections and, over the years, made my skin darker, thicker and desensitized from all the accumulating scar tissue. So I went ahead to have laser treatment as soon as I could afford it. I had the full "bang for your BUCC" package - Brazilian, underarms, calves, crack - which took place over five months. It was a total success. I could lose my mind over how crazy smooth and utterly blissful things are now. Even years after the fact, it makes me zone out and daydream quite a bit. And I admit, when alone, I find it difficult to keep my hands off of my own skin. I want to indulge in my own body for as long as I can!

No, i would never conciser getting laser hair removal even tho the resultat is good.
The only places i will shave/wax is armpit and private places. I will only shave my whole body if i have a big party when i take diplom, for my wedding or other bigger events.
I don't mind having some hair on my legs, but I dont really like it being on my chest and stomach. So I may eventually get a laser hair removal procedure done someday.
Do not do it. If you mean vaginal pubic hair , this hair helps the sweat stay there for a long time and and the odor arising from this sweat causes your partner to get on and stimulate specially when he is going to eat out your vagina so I recommend that you do not do that. Wouldn't you want to be eaten out before penetration?
I had it, but I didn't recommend it: is painful because you feel it burns your skin and you have to follow many recommendations even with creams, sun, sea, and swimming pools (before and after the session). Did you try hot wax? At least it can allow you to have a normal routine
Partially, maybe. Getting real tired of shaving armpits, and I hate them unshaven when it's hot. But with me being a man full body is kinda out of question, it would be a lot of area. And also it's not universally viewed as attractive, while for women it almost always is.
Totally agree. But I wouldn't get it near my eyes. Waxing has damaged my skin a lot and I'm tired of it. At first you might be scared, but you get usted to it
I'd get it done on spot areas like My back on the backside of My upper arms. The hair isn't thick its kind of fine but still I'd rather not have to deal with getting that crap waxed on a monthly basis.

I'm sorry, except WHAT?And no, I wouldn't. And I don't think you should either. Body hair is completely natural and it personally doesn't bother me. And it's YOUR body so if you wanna be hairless, it's better to just do laser so you don't have to keep getting waxed. But I would at least leave your arms. You're gorgeous by the way

My future wife might be able to talk me into it, but not until then if ever. I don’t mind the idea aside from the cost, but not until then “just in case” if you know what I mean. lol ;)
I think electrolysis hair removal is the only FDA approved permanent solution, not the laser. The hair will grow back if you go for laser hair removal, especially if you have thicker hair.
Yep if I could afford it Only so he wouldn't have to shave again I hate having to shaving everyday to every other day I wish I could have smooth skin without the hassle of shaving
Yeah, I might get it on chest and upper back/neck at some point. I did try one session on my face to try and thin out my facial hair to make it less irritating to shave but the results weren't even so I didn't get more sessions.
Nah, the procedure works better on darker natural hair since they have more pigment or something like that. Mine got more soft and lessened a lot but still not the result I wanted for all the money I paid.
I think people are rushing into this when there are no absolutions in regards to long term health affects of laser. To believe there are no affects is irrational

I've gotten it on my neck where my hair was a thick and pointy as the hair on my head. Now its all gone and im left with much thinner hairs on my neck. Though i want it all gone.
