I used to always give my opinion because I thought I was helping.. not just in appearances but anything in general if someone liked a certain thing and I overheard them talking about it and I knew something about it, like if it’s bad, I would say what I know Incase they were interested in opting for something better.. but what I learned is that people take advice in a very offensive way and dislike you thinking you are criticizing them and accuse you of it and just creates drama and unnecessary arguments/ bad relationships.. so I just now keep my knowledge and opinions to myself.. and when they ask even then I try to keep to myself because most still find you offensive if it’s not closely related to their own opinion or even worse if it’s the total opposite lol

I really don't mind it. My coworker often nags me for dying my blonde hair and I am now planning on going back to blonde, I think she's right, it looked better! Whenever my friends, relatives or anybody makes suggestions, I tend to appreciate them :)

Yes, that is rude. Because people generally don't like to hear a list of the things that are wrong with their appearance. I can see people getting very offended by that.
