Your opinion about this haircut. Yay or Nay?

I guess this hair style will fit my personality and represent me. My girlfriend told me to keep my hair but I would like something new for a change.
you guys will decide if i should cut to this style or not.

I personally don't like short hair, so I wouldn't recommend it, especially such a super short style that would take several years to grow back. If you want a change, there are many less long-term changes you can make to your look.

There is also the fact that you said your girlfriend would like you to keep it the way it is. That means you're thinking of hurting her on purpose for your own happiness, instead of discussing a compromise that would make you both happy. I think that is wrong.

Ultimately, I think you should do whatever you want, as long as you're willing to accept all the good and/or bad consequences of your decision.

Just because a feature has little meaning to you, doesn't mean that others will (or have to) feel the same way. It's "just" hair to you. Some people care about it more than you. It's not "just" hair to them. It might be a stronger preference to them. It's why I said a compromise should be reached. I, for example strongly prefer long hair, and care less about things other people claim as their deal breakers (like weight, or style).

The more important issue is your desire to ignore your partner's opinion for your own happiness. That is your choice. But I just wanted to point out that if you're unwilling to accommodate her opinion (on what you consider a meaningless thing), she would be right to worry about what will happen during a disagreement over a big thing.

I know I was speaking about myself but I know that there are millions of people out there that care about it so much and it’s not easy for them to do any changes in their hair such as changing the color or haircut or anything.

You don’t need to worry about my girlfriend because we grow up together as best friends and she know me and I know very well. Not everything we say is a serious life or death matter. Her liking my long hair now is something but we aren’t that silly to have a serious argument over haircut or that I am ignoring her. Even If i do cut it she will see it get shocked laugh about it and then move on. I know her more than I know myself so…

the haircut style in particular looks really good, so I like it.

and if for some reason, "doesn't work out" for you or the way you wanted it, then it will grow back... and this will give you the chance of trying many other styles as it keeps growing, I'm guessing that should be fun if you're really wanting to try new things, just go for it.

Its high maintenance if you want to present clearly as feminine.

This sort of hairstyle... has a fan base, most people don't like it that much. That said they'll generally agree certain women 'pull it off'.
Women who 'pull it off' are basically always:
- petite
- stereotypically pretty
- wear makeup.

In that case, this hairstyle - which looks like what a lot of guys would have, is an interesting counterpoint to -everything- else being feminine.

If you want to be seriously androgynous, go for it.

Otherwise, if you're not tiny and usually wearing very feminine clothes/makeup, people will think you're a butch lesbian/guy/enby. Which is fine etc, just be aware of it.
