Not on this website but in my real life a person called me average looking when I never asked for their opinion in the first place

I found it insulting and it hurt my feelings because I felt they were basically telling me they think I am not pretty when they called me average looking

I think saying it to a girl is rather rude, but to a guy? Totally ok, because for one, guys don't put as much stock into their appearance, and two, most guys are 'average' anyhow.
