Does anyone else think many super models are overrated?

I can see why they're viewed as attractive. Though a considerable portion of them are so vanilla looking, nothing really stands out about them. Or their faces are stiff and look alien.

A friend once told me it was because designers don't want to take the attention from the outfits. They want you to mostly be looking at the fits not the model so they'll get conventionally attractive people. That way you can go "oh wow that person's pretty" but not so much that you forget about the clothes. I guess this mostly applies to runway models.

Yes and no. I mean I'm generally into less curvy girls with smaller features so it's at least nice in that sense. But many of them are, like, unhealthily thin which just makes me feel concern more than anything. Especially with the dead inside look you often see with runway models.

Otherwise, girls like Zendaya and Cara Delavigne are like crazy gorgeous.

Yea, totally agree. Skinny might be aesthically pleasing cause your features are sharper. But being that skinny isn't attractive. Especially not sexually, there needs to be some meat. Not just a skeleton with a pretty face.

Well I for sure don't agree with that, models tend to have by far the most striking and unusual aesthetics.
Much more interesting than say actors or pornstars, which tend to be quite average looking.

You have to remember models are not just about looks, it’s the ability to show of clothes, designs etc.

with super models, these are the best clothes hangers for various design houses.

yes there are far prettier girls, however they would be shit on a cat walk, at a photo shoot etc.

They're only "super" because some powerful magazines or designers decided they like a certain look, and made them famous. Take the make-up off "many, not all" of them and you've got another face in the crowd.
