Is it a fault for a girl to wear hot pants at school?

It's only because it's hot in summer. But hot pants and miniskirts are banned at school. Do you think the ban is reasonable?

I see so many institutions banned this, banned that. I’m not an educational worker so I might be wrong, but I think instead of forbidden all those, kids should be educated correctly so they know what can be done and what cannot be done.
Maybe school banned hot pants and miniskirt to prevent teenage boys getting out of control or some other who might know reasons, they should educate them why.
I’m from a country where we all were school uniform in high school. So maybe I missed the part where kids know why those get banned.

We had modest dress codes for both gals and guys when I was in school and those would not have been permitted.

School property. School rules. Otherwise, there would be no proper social decorum at all on school grounds. Girls would show up in bikinis if they could. They're always pushing the envelope and see how far they can get.
