Although it’s changed in my lifetime, very skinny females are still somewhat favored in the media. This is a bizarre standard if you look at how beauty standards evolved in the US and the UK over the past three centuries. I literally have never met a man who likes skinny women, ever. Contrarily, this new phase of glorifying not just fat women, but morbidly obese women is insane. I don’t get that at all. I don’t expect it to become an actual beauty standard, but the western world seems to be accelerating toward a very Twilight Zone future. So i just can’t be completely confident in that assumption.
Some like skin color is kinda absurd but the standards for what body type is the most attractive is absolutely 100% reasonable and I’ll fight someone about that one. The healthiest bodies are the most attractive for both genders
Ya you are true... Mostly in our country India... People are still comparing each other by their colour... But actually I have seen many people exceptionally amazing in that category... Like they are darker in tone but look more gorgeous then the fair one... Similar with weight... We do compare but some people do look amazing and adorable even they are fat... I think it's not the beauty standards its how you represent yourself... No matter how fair you are if you don't groom properly you will not gonna look A...
Maybe it's because of where I grew up, but I don't find either of those example pictures to be attractive. It's interesting because I myself am brown/tan, so it's clearly not a genetic thing, but I find Caucasian and Latina women to be the most attractive generally
I know I don't fit the conventional beauty standards, but I am in no way, shape, or form offended. Instead, I try to fit in to those conventional beauty standards, and instead I am disgusted by men who not only try to challenge said standards, but also the ones who date women who don't fit in to said standards because they are ones enabling women to be ugly. Remember, it goes both ways. You can't have one or the other.
Unfortunately, people are programmed young to prejudge when it comes to skin color. As I grew older, I came to see the world is full of beautiful women. Color? I don't care now I see beauty, as a kid we were conditioned to like blue eyed blondes. I grew up in the 70's.
I don't have anything against having sex with them or Dating them. I still think they look good. I know I am going to sound racist, but I don't want my kids to have dark skin because they will be discriminated against.
I think Hollywood idealizes looks that don’t even exist naturally. The two biggest examples would be blue-eyed blonde Nordic women with tans like Polynesians and skinny, underweight women with breasts the size of Volkswagen Beetles.
Sure but they don’t have beauty standards that exclude and hates other features that’s much different from their features. European beauty standards is worldwide because of the way Europeans treated the world with their hate, genocide, and biased world views
Yes, I started dating a model and I have noticed she has a strange relationship with herself, and how she looks. I personally hate the industry now for what it has done. And I prefer her how she is.
of course not. you think they print the average standard everydday woman on the cover of hustler? or like a beauty magazine or whatever sort of thing were women are depicted? it's either celebs or models. + photoshop. not what is expected from the girl next door. not "standard".
I think society tries to change what's beautiful, every so often. It used to be that you could be relatively "average" and you're be considered beautiful
