Do men's bodies look better hairy or hairless? Men what do you prefer to be?

I'm a dancer and at my school there's a divide between the men over how much hair they have. Some have completely waxed legs, armpits, chests (male dancers have to be shirtless a lot), some keep all the hair, some do something in between. There is disagreement on what looks best, but also some men don't like shaving / waxing.

Obviously sometimes a given performance might require something specific, but in general I think if them men have to have their bodies on show they look good keeping the body hair.

What do you think looks best? And men, are you comfortable with the idea of body hair removal or not?

Speaking as a hairy man (chest especially), there has been a trend for several decades towards more waxed and clean shaven dudes. Women seem to prefer the cleaner look as opposed to the mountain man or lumber jack style, especially when they're younger. There is definitely a generational divide, because women ~45+ are more appreciative of the man fur, I've noticed.

Robust body hair is obviously a problem in sports such as swimming, and it obscures the view on men who wish to show their muscly physiques (even the Ancient Greeks wanted sleek athletes). It's also not as "refined" or "high-class" looking. Aesthetically, I'd say that men look better with little hair.

It took me years to accept my body hair, and now I generally like staying furry but trimmed. Having a baby face and a slimmer build makes it hard to pull off a suitable style, though, because things are too mismatched (too hairy to be a pretty boy but too scrawny to be a macho man).

Most people have something about themselves that others will dislike, so we just have to learn to live with ourselves as we are and to the degree that we can change.

I used to shave to shave a lot, now I just trim it. I trim my legs because the hairs get so long, and looks weird. Plus I have sexy looking legs, and you can see my muscles better (but still leave it hairy enough because I think it’s gay to not have leg hair if you’re a guy). Also like my stomach, I leave it just so there’s a little bit of stubble. And I shave everything past my belly button because I want to see my abba still. And i sometimes fluctuate on my chest. I either leave it with hair or just shave it completely. No back hair. Leave my arms natural because I also think it’s gay if a guy doesn’t have hair on his arms, like what is he a little boy?

im a hairy guy, my brother even has more than me. I used to not like it , but now that im older im cool with it.
My girlfriend loves it so i keep it natural. Back when i used to swim competitively i was shaving and trimming continuously…glad i dont need to do that anymore

partner likes hair but i like little light hair (arms and legs) feels cleaner especially in the summer while still maintaining a manly look. certain areas hair has to go like underarms (hygiene) or chest (certain clothes pull on the skin or my chain does)

I prefer little to no hair except for arms and legs. I really don't grow on my chest or back. I wax the rest.

I just use a trimmer so I look clean, but I don't shave my chest bare. I don't want ingrown hairs.
