And here I was thinking only Afros could be done and pulled off. Hairspray certainly had to play part, I’m guessing.
Also, I believe in the Victorian era, many women styled large wigs or large hair and braids or curls with ribbons 🎀 and clips, and such. I suppose they used objects and thread, while these women used hairspray in a can, and some used picks and hairspray too.
Amazing how they improvised and visualized new ways to play with their hair and style it. Truly cool.
Will it come back? Maybe for those who are very fond of those items or become obsessed with this hair trend.
Could it catch on? It depends on the type of people and their friends who may or may not follow it up, also.
Do I personally think it should? I don’t think it’s a necessity. I won’t hate on it lol but it does seem pretty wild and eccentric 😂🙌🎀🤔🌚🌝💯
I think it will.
Doubt it. That kind of style takes patience to do and girls don't have patience nor the aptitude to pull it off.
Girls nowadays are all about that easy quick fashion that takes no effort. Hence why they all wear yoga pants, baggy jeans and crop tops. And they wear their hair pin straight/down/unstyled with a middle part because it takes no effort.
What you may call a *lack of patience,* someone else may call it by another name…
Besides, remember the days when there were NO mirrors? I wonder how long it took us all to get ready, then?
It
Is called “vanity” with reason.. I think most forget the ambiguity to it, also.
Also I’m curious (because you seem to imply it in a negative context), how long do you usually work on your hair or outward presentation, before leaving home for the day? 🤔👀
I understand many wish to bad-mouth modern generations for a plethora of things, but this doesn’t seem like one that could be..
Besides, as “wrong” as this one, or any other, and many generations may have it, the newer ones are always making things more efficient- as option.
I think efficiency, tradition, and sentiment all play part, in a content and pleasing world… 👀
In ADDITION to my comment, I cannot avoid that there is some real truth to yours. I’m just curious how long your routine is, and I hope others don’t misread your comment as just negativity thrown at their sense of culture or upbringing and maybe even sense of priority.
Surely I don’t think you deliberately intended for that.

I take a lot of pride in how I look so I take quite some time to get ready but it depends on what I'm doing and what style I chose. My vintage 1920s/1940s style requires a lot more time to get ready than others. Waistcoat, pocket watch, trousers, suit jacket, dress shirt, bow tie/tie, detachable collar for my shirts with no collar, hair products, cologne et cetera. This look probably takes more time to get ready than women who dress casual.
My 50s look doesn't take as much time.
However, I never dress casual so I take more time than a lot of men due to that.

would not doubt it one bit... lol

Lol hopefully not
Reminds me of the Whoville characters
This style never appealed. I like the fashion style of the old era but this is one of the exceptions I dislike.
Give it time. Everything eventually comes back.
One way or the other, like AviatorTom says, fashion trends and styles always seem to repeat, as we only have so many ways to dress and do our hair.
Hopefully not (I couldn’t afford all the hairspray🤣)
@Bricealan thanks but I’ve been here, admittedly not as much and haven’t posted as much… but always nice to feel missed lol
🙂🤗
Is big hair the kind that Jon Bon Jovi had in ye 80s? I hope so. Seems like hippies are getting more popular currently.

it's her balding spouse
I wish! I have really puffy hair and it would be surprising if for once I was with the fashion trends.
umm lol As much as I love old music, some older fashion choices should be left in the past.
Of course, it's all cyclical. We might not see actual beehives again. Here's hoping anyway.
Anything is possible. Sometimes it looks good sometimes not
Every fashion is coming back so it can come back, i guess
The clothing is coming back in style so I'm sure the hair will too.
We can never tell if it will come back in fashion.
Seems like most things go in cycles. So yes.
Go to the south. It never left.
No. Get over it.
I hope not😅😅
Hope not... lol
Good question I hope not 😑
