Is it okay for men to wear tank tops while casually going to places if he’s fit for it?

I was talking to my friend about changing to go eat, or to go to stores. And he told me that it’s okay since I’m in shape. I just don’t want to look like a douchebag.

We go to the gym, and usually hangout afterwards. So I always feel naked while going to places like target afterwards…

It's fine as long as there is an over shirt with it. It should never be one that has no sides to it. Tank top with an over button-up shirt or dress jacket, would be fine fashion wise. It depends on the time of year if a tank top is fine. Tank tops are fine for summer if you have a date, but always have something breathable over it.

It's perfectly fine for him to wear a tank, yeah. He probably shouldn't wear one of those thin Hane's undershirt ones, but a tank should be fine, for most venues. I wouldn't want to go to a sit down restaurant wearing one though.

I wear them because I hate wearing a t shirt in the gym. It sucks to workout in one. Plus, it gets hotter in a t shirt.
