I literally have sat next to women like yourself on the transit. lol It doesn't bother me one way or the other. We're all just people and we all express ourselves differently, and there's nothing wrong or "weird" about that at all. More often than not, people like yourself, or who otherwise have a "different" look, are usually just as chill and nice as any other person. Most times when you approach and treat someone with dignity and not with apprehension, and not as someone who "isn't" normal or like a walking aberration, they tend to be like anyone else. Sadly, many people don't lead with that foot and they wind up manifesting their own apprehension and intolerance due to their own biased opinions, fears, ignorance, etc. So they prevent themselves from seeing other people any other way.

I think people just need to stop "other"-izing people based on looks and/or perception, and just approach/treat them like any other person. And if you ever talk with them, more often than not you'll see they are no different than most people. I'm sorry to hear no one would sit next to you on the train. Unfortunately, this world is filled with people who can't see past their own stupid perceptions and inhibitions.

If I had to. Not that I wouldn't be delighted to sit next to a cute girl but I just don't normally sit next to anyone unless there is nowhere to sit alone. And when all the isolated seats are taken I tend to take the seats availible that aren't next to girls I'd want to flirt with, as it would be obvious that's why I was choosing that seat when others are availible, which would make flirting awkward.

Don't sweat it. People will usually always go for a different spot. I see it on the train constantly.
Four spots and somebody is sitting in one of those? The next person will look for the next empty four spots. And they'll pit their bag on the seat next to them.

I wouldn't be concerned about sitting by ya. I just assume women would prefer I didn't if other seats are available. The whole personal space thing.
