I'm actually very interested in owning a tiny home, but I was considering something a bit more mobile.
Might be an interesting option, but what is the Total Cost of Ownership?
That's a good question. I'm just getting tired of paying rent. I saw these on FOX news last night, and I was surprised that I've never heard of them. You can get them on Amazon or Home Depot. (I'm sure there are other places as well)
The biggest obstacle is where to put it. And then you need all the utilities hooked up. Also, the average person would need help setting it up. If you watched the video, you saw there were about 8 or so Chinese guys setting it up. But I think at the core of the structure, you have shipping containers. Those things must be pretty tough. I saw a movie and the military converts them for use as a place to fly drones out of.
But the most interesting thing I found out, was that Elon lives in one while he's at Space X.

Not for me. I like to stretch out and do not like to be crowded. Besides, emwhere do you put all your stuff?
I would go nuts living in a space that small. Where would I put the grand piano?
At the moment, I am living in a small house and I have a studio piano because I don't have room for a grand. Within the next year, I will be buying a house and the next purchase after that will be a grand.
When I was in college, I took a piano class. My teacher and her husband had two grands in their living room. (I never saw them)
But they said that the grands were worth way more than their house. I also talked to a cello teacher, and he said his cello was worth more than his house!
So you're problem is simple. Get two Chinese mini houses! One for you and one for the piano. lol
You might have read that I told Avicenna that Elon has one of these at his Space X.
Actually, refurbished Steinways can be found for as cheap as $20,000. Upper end grands of this quality can be $100,000 or more, but those are concert grands and anything larger than a baby grand at home is an overkill.
That's what I thought, but if their two grands were babies, they would have told me. Her and her husband were very down-to-Earth, and not the type to brag or put on airs.
My guess was that since they were both professional pianists, maybe it's best to practice on the size of piano that you will be playing on in concert. (I don't know)
I just imagine they have a really big living room, and they don't live in one of my Tiny Homes. :)
Maybe they had different preferences for their practice piano, or maybe they played duets. Otherwise, having two grand pianos would be an extreme overkill.
Used electric pianos can be found for $200-300 on Craigslist.
I'd rather travel to Japan and stay here..
I've seen prices range from 7 to well over 100 dollars a night. Keep in mind that these are rental properties and not those pretty much greenhouses that would most likely just be an extension of someone's backyard.
no thanks you’re better off putting a big mobile home on the property on the land or if you can afford to build a house on it
I wouldn't mind studio apartments but some of these are crossing the line for me.
Be handy to have behind our house to toss the kids into from time to time.
They're not for everyone
