The world really is a circus today. I remember when you had to pay good money to see mutant humans. Now you can go to any mall and see hippos with green hair and nose rings. Nobody living even 20 years ago would have believed the world would become this in such a short time. Sure, we had some freaks back then... working coffee stands. But that was a tiny niche. Like seeing a clown at a theme park vending stand.
