Anonymous(18-24)1 yA lot of people have a misconception that those with darker skin, don't need to wear sunscreen, which isn't true. Sure you might be more resistant to sunburn and skin cancer thanks to higher amounts of melanin, but that doesn’t mean you’re immune to it, especially in the summer. Some UV radiation will always penetrate your cells, and that will damage your DNA and cause cancer. Your body is always fighting off cancer cells that randomly appear out of nowhere. Don’t overwhelm your defenses by adding more.
To answer the question, yes I do wear sunscreen almost every day in the summer. I won't put sunscreen for going to the grocery store, but if I'm gonna be in direct sun for more than 15 mins and the UV index is high, then I'm certainly gonna wear it

1 yI use sunscreen daily, have done for the last few years and wish I started earlier, as an aging preventor.
Only downsides is the white film it leaves and it's super shinny... but there are plenty SPF products in the market designed not to do that.10 Reply

Sunscreen is super important to me, and I use it every day, even when it's cloudy. Growing up under the Florida sun and my frequent visits to sunny Spain have really made me conscious of protecting my skin. Sunscreen helps prevent premature aging and offers crucial protection against skin cancer. Plus, it keeps my skin looking fresh and youthful. Do you use sunscreen regularly?

My father was fit years back and he loved to spend hundreds or hours at the beach every year without sunscreen, but now he is paranoid about every dark spot on his skin.

m 1 yIt’s fairly important, over the warmer summer months I can be standing in a field doing archery for like 4-6 hours, or when out mountain biking you often have legs, face, arms exposed to sunlight for a good number of hours. It’s not just the beach where we need to wear it, working in the garden can give as much exposure as a day at the beach.
10 Reply0/10. I won't wear it and won't let my kids wear it. 90% of it is carcinogenic (it's getting better though) and prevents people from getting natural sunscreen (a tan). Just don't stay in the sun for hours at a time.

Actually we don’t need to stay for hours under the sun to damage our skin. Just 15 minutes under the sun without any sun protector already damage it.

Corporate paid propaganda to make you afraid of one of the healthiest things in our lives. You've been misled by psychopaths that would do literally anything to increase profit margins. Your health will be worse because of it. But you'll only get mad at me, and not the billionaire scumbags who are hurting you and manipulating you.

That’s study with a lot of research. Not a propaganda😃

Never been a problem.
And maybe I should use it. But since my skin is never tanned nor looks any different, nor do I actively stay in the sun it becomes just one thing I don't want to buy.00 ReplyOnly when I plan to be in the sun for hours in a bikini. And thats only the last few years I used to fry myself with baby oil til I grew up and started using my noggin

Why would u use baby oil? Doesn’t it burn ur skin worse than without sunscreen?
- 1 y
Ahhh yeah, Yes but using oil is like you are frying your skin, you will get wrinkles faster😓😓😓

When i was young, i also didn’t like sunscreen, because the texture and always leave white cast. But i found the right sunscreen for me. If you don’t like fragrance on the sunscreen, u can try product from CeraVe.
Very, and even with darker Asian skin, as you age you need to be more proactive otherwise the crows feet shows up earlier in age. I remember going to Sephora years ago and found peter thomas roth sunscreen was like the perfect match for my face. not oily and very invisible.

Sunscreen is very important for protecting the skin from UV damage, preventing premature aging, and reducing the risk of skin cancer. It's essential to apply it daily, even on cloudy days, to maintain healthy skin.
