Hard to say. I have some small sense of fashion - I know what I like. I can’t give you ‘the whys” necessarily - or at least all of them. I tend to either dress up (favoring black). Or I go casual - geeky print T-shirts. But I would say I’m great at certain aspects of design, I’m probably the most fashion savvy person in the family.
I’m at a point where I really don’t care much what people think about some aspect of my wardrobe. I do ok in some ways… I think I’m good at the basics. That doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement… but otherwise… I’m too old to be obsessing over brands and whatever’s “in” right now (that will be ridiculous in a year).
“Friends” have ripped me apart because I wore some “stupid” non fashion forward things, when I’ve personally thought some fashion choice of theirs was pretty dumb. I’ve gotten sh*t for wearing a Nike baseball cap. (A close friend got it for me, and then passed away a few months later. It’s one of only a few things I have from him (and it’s from one of the last times I saw him)) - So, I’m wearing the “dorky” Nike baseball cap. And I will keep wearing it as long as I can, whenever I can.
I’ve been made fun of for the dumbest crap for so long that most of it has lost all meaning. I got crap because I wore Chuck Taylors (Converse shoes) to school. Got beat up for that. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wear them very long (growth spurt) I only had maybe six months of wearing them). I come to school after summer vacation in regular sneakers… and Converse was hot. Conveniently, no one remembered that I had worn the shoes they were giving me crap over (ah, I love a good gaslighting). I got beat up for NKT wearing the coolest shoes.
I got sh*t for wearing something “uncool” when other teens were carrying around toy Elmo’s and sucking on pacifiers. They have no room to talk.
I’ve gotten sh*t recently for wearing two watches… then for wearing an “old” watch. For specifically wearing an analogue watch. For wearing a brand of watch they haven’t heard of. Then for wearing the “uncool” smart watch… the old school watch was my “dad’s” watch (a father figure who is now gone) and it’s in good condition, so I’m wearing the “stupid” old fashioned watch that I love. I don’t give a crap if it’s not what’s in. I will happily wear two watches if I want. I will happily change them out if I want. I will happily wear a Popeye themed watch if I want to.
So at some point, as long as I’m not dressing inappropriately (wearing something ratty to a formal event, for example…) I don’t obsess over it.
Not a sense, it's a conditioning line, from early age. Baby girls are culturally, and economically, programmed to stick to fashion, market dictates toy usage for example, market sells dolls, people buy dolls, slowly conveying the idea that baby girl must relate strongly to appearance, cloth, make up, hair etc. Then, during adulthood they keep following the commands given during childhood.
Plus, during their lives they will be valued by men and women alike for that, it will often be called feminity. Cycle enforces cycle, reproducing the trend.. Forever.
Oh, that's such a fun question! I think fashion sense isn't really about gender but more about personal style and creativity. Both men and women can have incredible fashion sense; it's all about how they express themselves. Some men absolutely rock their outfits with daring styles, while many women bring innovation and elegance into their wardrobes. Do you have a fashion icon you look up to?

The majority of women. Throughout their lives, women generally put more focus into fashion. Fields related to aesthetic are usually dominated by women. Fashion, interior design, beauty, and lifestyle industries. Women are the ones that take time to doll themselves up using much more than men in terms of skincare and cosmetics.
Research and surveys often suggest that women take about 1.5 to 2 times more selfies than men and take initiative taking pictures much more often as well. Because of this, they tend to have a better sense of what angles work and what type of fashion they should have for specific social events.
There are many men that have a good fashion sense and eye for aesthetic. But women definitely beat the majority of men in this category.
It will very from person to person - I personally tend to buy classic pieces of clothing that will last, I do not pay any attention to "Fashion".
Men have it too easy to dress nice. Women have to put serious work in among choices and those outfits don't just fall out of the sky. However, gay men can pull off some astounding outfits!
Women. However, there are a few men out there that could school women in fashion.
The words men and sense don't belong in the same sentence.
Woman, my girlfriend's mother do shopping for me and my girlfriend.
Men of course
most men dress like shit. richer men have better taste. women often are too cheap to dress nicely
Fashion is for women because women do not understand politics, science, art etc. and they keep themselves busy with things like fashion.
Greatest fashion sense of all time is Jelena Karleusa
Anyone other than me. I am the poster child for Garanimals for Men.
Women. Isn't it obvious? How many slobbettes opposed to slobs do you see?
With as much time they spend on it I would HOPE women.
I don't care about fashion but I think women have a better sense about that subject.
