Have you ever seen or hanged out with someone you knew from work and they looked or seemed or acted differently than they did at work?

It’s funny cause sometimes I see coworkers on their way to work before they change into the clothes they wear to look professional at work and it always surprises me because many people have their own style off the clock that’s somehow different from the work outfit they wear everyday on the clock.

it makes me feel like dang i really don’t know this person, they might have an unexpected personality or style or interests than they seem to at work.

I know logically it’s not something I should be surprised at but it does surprise me nonetheless. It’s just interesting how people have their own unique styles or look different than i picture them in my head.

Not hung out, but I've had co-workers come by when they were off duty, or I would run into them somewhere, and they were completely unrecognizable. However, I've been around some of my professors when they weren't working, and some of them were completely different than they were in class.

How does that feel? Honestly it makes me think wow this person is just not who I thought so it makes me worry I’m interacting with an unreal person at work lol. That sounded too dramatic but I don't know how to explain it. I still like these people and can be friendly at work
But it makes me wonder.

Well, when the customers weren't around they were pretty much themselves, at least to a certain extent. There were girls who smoked weed and got shitfaced drunk and acted like whores and idiots, but you'd never know it from working with them.

It was nice but different usually people have a work face... that they have at work, a work energy also.. for example this woman I have meet she was a lot more outgoing then at work, at work even at parties she did not drank any alchohol but in private she drank a lot of wine, also wearing totally different clothes close to a 1950's style while at work she was wearing only suits.. but mostly her personality was so much calmer, sweeter and warmer then at work where she seemed cold and very focused, not kind at all or even warm
