So in short, darker skin is extremely undesirable in a lot of Asian countries. So a lot of times when they do outside activities they cover up as much skin as possible.
Squid Game certainly made an impact with its iconic look, but it's more associated with the show's thematic costumes rather than everyday wear, even in Japan. While you might find fans wearing such outfits for themed events or cosplay gatherings, it's not common as regular office attire or for private occasions. Japanese fashion has its unique eclectic styles, but Squid Game masks as everyday wear might be stretching it a bit! 😊
