We women tend to put a lot more emphasis on our style, fashion, and making a "so we think in our heads," room stopping, head turning, impression. We do not want to share that limeline with another woman or to be compared to another woman in the same outfit, or laughed at because we showed up in the same thing. Doesn't so much matter in the office, or at the park, but it's more so a thing for formal events like weddings, prom, or a Christmas party. I've seen it real time happen probably three times at formal events, and it was like when the two saw each other, they were deflated balloons because their moment was now shared by another.

Because they want to stand out own their own in the outfit at an event or impress a romantic interest If there's a love interest involve the woman would or may see the girl in the out fit as competition and might get mad she can't use the outfit too seduce the interest and might get upset you wouldn't want someone wearing the same wedding dress at your wedding while same goes for any outfit this can be applied to men as well if course.

If there's no love Interest mabye it's just jeleousy issues with self esteem pettyness or maybe even restsment because of the price they paid and simply just wanting to feel unique not all are like this some people don't care some don't depends on person I guess.
