the difference can be very subtle on the skin like that, so i can't really tell. they can look identitical. but if there's peeling of the skin at times, or you have scalp issues as well (like persistent dandruff especially yellow greasy scales), it's more likely seborrheic dermatitis. if it's just persistent redness on a localized part of your face, it's more likely rosacea. there's other conditions who look the same, like atopic dermatitis and eczema. so it could be that too. there's other things that can cause redness like that, like a sunburn or skin irritation. i'd recommend you get an over the counter anti redness cream, that often helps minor redness from those different conditions. good options are crealine DS anti redness cream (bioderma) or ketoconazole cream. if it doesn't help, you can go see a dermatologist to get a stronger prescription.
You have to go to a dermatologist. You don’t know if it’s Russia or dandruff of the face
Facial redness is tricky because seborrheic dermatitis and rosacea can look similar, but they behave differently.
Seborrheic dermatitis often shows redness with greasy, flaky, yellowish scales, especially around the sides of the nose, eyebrows, scalp, and ears, and it tends to itch. Rosacea usually causes persistent central facial redness, visible tiny veins, flushing, and sometimes acne-like bumps without blackheads.
A dermatologist can tell by examining your skin, checking distribution, texture, and triggers. Photos over several days help them see patterns. Treatment differs a lot, so getting a proper diagnosis in person is really important.
