Wow, this is a very interesting question! I had no clue that guys had a thing for knee high boots,haha. That's something I will keep in mind although, I LOVE LOVE LOVE wearing booties due to my 5'3 height and how it compliments my legs.

Most guys I've talked to seem to like knee high boots. But they aren't always practical. Ankle boots are better for being casual or if it's warmer outside

It absolutely depends on the specific body type and style you are trying to accomplish. But personally, If done right, and in the right context of style, both can look amazing. But personally I like knee-high's.
