Girls, Is a smiling type of guy a turn off?

So basically, I've been recently hearing everywhere that studies have shown that a man who smiles is likely to be less attractive to females. Smiling is perceived to be a feminine trait which makes a man appear to be less dominant. This is a huge problem for me because I'm usually an energetic positive guy who can't help but smile when talking to a beautiful lady. But then, I have heard some females say that nothing is more sexy to them than a nice smile. I do not want to become someone I'm not and try and act like a badass mysterious macho man with no feelings. But anyways what do you women think? Is smiling a turn-on or turn-off. Honest opinions please.

I'd rather have someone who is smiley than some miserable guy that looks like he's crying.. Smiling is adorable and it shows happiness! Why would that be a turn off?

I have no idea! I think positivity in general makes a person more likable. But I think the studies are leaning toward arrogant bad guys who dont care, as being attractive, which makes a bit sense I guess knowing how charismatic a bad boy can be. But what gets to me is how a smiling guy could seem to be "weak" and unattractive.

Honestly it depends on the guy. I just love a boy with a great big smile and dreamy eyes or with braces. It turns me on.

But at the same time guys that don't smile are attractive as well because they have a certain image.
