Would asking a guy to play 21 questions seem childish?

This guy started talking to me online, and we have nothing to talk about. I want to ask him random questions to help us to get to know each other better but I feel it would be awkward without an excuse. Should I ask him to play 21 questions or do you have another way to get to know him?

Personally speaking, yes. Unless he really has a thing for that game. You could just talk to him about his interests and then move onto the topics you really want to talk about.

Yes, that would be childish. And in my opinion if he doesn't want to play along purely for that reason, he isn't worth being with. Why would you want to be with someone who can't have some fun?

I thought the game "21 questions" was about pretending to be someone or something else and having the other person guess - so that wouldn't help either way.

Anyway - what about old fashioned conversation?
