He knows me and talks to me quite a bit - guess it's his way of being like "'sup" but not sure if flirty or not.

Just curious. He also gave me free coffee yesterday and checks me out - not sure which of his behavior is flirty and which is just friendly - or should I just assume it's all flirty?

This is often used to say your hot. ie smoking hot like a gun, via smoky and the bandit, and old film where the saying originated from. but this is quite old, so he might of had other thoughts, so don't quote me on that, but both sound very much like he's flirting, x

Well he walked by and I had been waiting so I could tell him something - he kind of slowed down as he got close (so as to make me notice him?), did that - and then seemed to realize I wanted to talk to him.

Like it didn't seem like "oh hey yeah I know you think I'm hot so here let me flirt with you." It was more like "heyyy giiirl" (lol)

I'd say this behavior seems flirty. He could just be extra friendly, but I'd point more towards flirty. If he happens to be into anime, I'd say it's absolutely flirty cx

I don't - I just treat him like a friend. I felt awful because some girl was there not long ago and she gave me this - look of either being hurt or weirded out or something and I thought what did I do? All I was doing was talking to him. Then I looked more closely at her face and checked fb when I got home and I think it was his girlfriend. :/ he also seemed particularly subdued that day.

in my opinion the finger gun, tongue clicking and wink is an intentionally cheesy/humorous greeting. I have done it before with an 80 year old guy who was my friend's neighbor.
