I swear he loves his bike more than me?

Any advice on how to handle this will be much appreciated.

My boyfriend has bought a motorcycle last year and I swear he loves it more than me! He's always spending $ on it, gone on it, or on forums about them. He gets to a point he just ignores me sometimes cause he's all into it. I know it sounds childish to be jealous of his bike, but I have to admit, I AM. And yeah, it's hard for me to admit that. Plus, I can't enjoy it with him cause for one, I don't know how to drive one, and he only has a permit and can't ride passengers. (have to go to a class where I live to get a license)

So, how can I let him know it's starting to bother me? I want to be #1, ya know? He can't kiss, have sex, or hug his bike lol (well I guess one could but that's just sick!). But it seems he spends more of his little bit of time he has with it :(

Aww, come on! All boys have their hobbies, whether it be sports, video games, cars, or whatever! My boy is obsessed with hockey... half the week, all he does is play, I barely get to see him! And I admit it does get me down when I make plans with him and he cancels at the last minute because his pals have invited him out and he'd much rather go with them. But he always makes up for it and the time that I do get to spend with him, he only focuses on me and is very caring and sweet.

Give your boyfriend some liberty! He doesn't have to be with you 24/7, he has other things that preoccupy him too! Just like we girls spend time on shopping and makeup... I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to drag your boyfriend to the mall to, for example, buy heels or something..., you'd much rather it was with some of your girl friends, people who enjoy the same things you do, to fully appreciate the time, wouldn't you?

Don't be too clingy, it'll make ya look desperate and he'll get tired of you. But if you really feel as if he's neglecting you, drop a few comments here and there in a joking tone... Like: "Jeez... seems like you love that bike more than me...!" then get serious and say, "Seriously, we haven't been spending a lot of time together. Why don't we go do _____ or go _____ together on _____?"

But in a way, I understand your feeling of insecurity... if he's really not paying attention to you at all, then that could be an issue. But you said he only gets to that point sometimes... not at the time... so if he still makes up for it later, I wouldn't worry.

Thanks and yeah he doesn't really pay me any attention. I'm just hoping it's a phase he's going through and it gets old.. I do like he has a hobby, tho, and I am happy he enjoys it, but he's lacking in the attention dept for me. We used to go out at least once every 2 weeks and stuff and now all his cash goes to this bike. I think I need to drop him some hints, that's for sure!

I would tell him how you feel. (Actually I tried to write a poem for you to give him about how you feel about taking second place to a bike but I didn't like it.) If he doesn't change his attitude, time to move along.

I actually don't blame him.. My dad loves his bike, and his ride on lawn mower.
