Im 5'7" and my 6'0" boyfriend sometimes will randomly say "short person" and ill say "No just really tall person, the mirror in the bathroom tells me so" haha it only shows the bottom of his chin. Other times when I'm trying to do something and I'm frustrated but in a fun way he might say "cause your short" and ill just dig into his sides to tickle so he bends over "now I'm not". Its just fun and I know its only in joke. I think its fine to do it with a friend or more just as long as they know its in joke.

One guy did that to me but only because I said "Wow you're kinda tall" He mocked me and sarcastically said "well you're kinda short". I wasn't trying to insult the poor fellow. We were measuring height for stats in class and I hadn't noticed his height. I was only like 5 inches shorter but the way he said it was no bueno.

I somewhat knew him as a classmate but it wasn't fun

In my opinion, teasing anyone for thing that he hasn't the power or the choice to create like, physical traits that only God is the creator is kind of rude or at least unpolite, unless that person starts teasing you.

If I know she won't be offended by it then yeah. I do this to the girl I'm casually seeing now. She's really short but she still tries reaching for things up on high shelves. I tease her for it. She gets red in the face and shoves me and tells me it's not funny even though she's trying to hide her smile. It's cute.
