Does it mean anything when a stranger remembers your name?

Ok, so at my gym, there's a guy who works there who smiles and says hi to me and he says my name every time. I just started thinking about it and he must see a hundred people go in and out of there each day, and I've never really had any kind of conversation with him. Do you think it means he's interested in me, or is he just really good at remembering everyone's name?

I want to know women's opinion too. Like if you were working at a store and saw a guy and never really talked to him, but you always greet him by name. Are you trying to throw a hint? Or just being polite.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Probably just a really good memory. At my gym, there's 2 or 3 employees that know my name and I've just starting going there. It might be their job to remember (ie, make the people feel good/important). Now, it's possible it's more than that, but I wouldn't assume it. It very likely is nothing more than that.

No, I don't think so, just that they're polite and have a great memory. It's important to remember people name especially when you're lead to encounter this person multiple time.
