Should I swipe right on an acquaintance on Tinder?

This is an extremely petty and immature problem, if you can even call it that, but what is the internet for of not for petty and immature questions? So I keep seeing this guys profile on tinder even after I have swiped left on him so that makes me think he probably swiped right on me. Now being a 20 something I am extremely vain so I really want to know if he did infact swipe right, BUT i went to high school with this guy and he works in the same building also he's probably friends with my brother so he's not exactly some complete stranger that I'm never going to see. If we match then were going to have to acknowledge that fact when we see each other around and id rather not considering I don't think I would want anything romantic to come of it. So essentially I would be a tease if I were to swipe right... but oh well, I'm curious.
