He smiled at me in the hallway?

So after lunch every day I walk by my crush in the hall.

I was walking with 2 of my friends today and he began coming down the hall. I was looking at him and I saw him look at me, look away weirdly, and then glance back (this is happening with like 20 feet between us) and this whole time I never looked away from him.

As he got closer, I got this pressure in my chest to say hi (we work together at a grocery store so it's not like we don't talk) but for some reason I couldnt bring myself to do it. Well he did this smile without showing his teeth. I would say it's a smile but more of an acknowledgement look? I don't know I guess it was a smile. It seemed like it was a nervous one.

Anyway, one of the friends walking with me saw him do it and as soon as he walked by she goes OH MY GOD HE JUST SMILED AT YOU!!

but I'm confused on what this meant? Do you guys think he was nervous because I didn't break eye contact? It's so weird like we can talk normally at work but it always starts off so awkward and it's as if we're incapable of normal human interaction.

Hii I actually kind of have a same problem..
So I would like to discuss about it ahaha (you don't have to obviously)
For me, whenever my crush sees me in the hallway, he just smiles & nods at me XD

Keep the eye contact, it's a sign of confidence which is always attractive. Smile back with a casual laugh or say hi.
