What does it mean if a girl suddenly looks excited when she sees you?

There's a girl in my class who seems to be interested in me. According to some of the signs I've noticed, my best friend thinks she has a crush on me (even though one month ago, she said that she has a boyfriend).

I don't consider us to be "friends" (we don't talk to each other outside of class), but I think she may have a crush on me!

Yesterday, she's been talking to my teacher for 20 minutes (we were in the computers room and she was done with her team work so she went to talk to him for whatever reason). I needed to ask him a question. So when I came beside them (btw my crush was standing beside the table and my teacher was sitting), they both looked at me and my crush suddenly looked very happy to see me. I mean, she smiled with her teeth! But by the way she didn't say anything. But I was surprised to see her like that!

And I noticed that she is not always smiling to the guys she sees. For example, this morning, I saw her talking with a guy. Her attitude was normal. And I saw her talking with a some other few guys recently. She didn't seem as happy as she was when she saw me.

by the way, I often see her happy around me (whether she's talking to me or not).

Being a girl and doing that sometimes when I see the guy I like, I'd say she likes you. She's probably shy and doesn't know how to approach her. Try talking to her. It won't hurt to say hi or anything. Start off as friends and see how it goes.

She does have a crush on you but has a hard time telling you and maybe she did have a boyfriend but let him go for you.

by the way some weeks ago, I started talking to her. She smiles most of the time when I talk to her. Sometimes she laughs. And she even helped me on something even though I didn't ask for her help!

OK if this was me... and its not... but if it was I would sure think she likes me. Thus I would try to strike up a conversation with her and try to get to know her better. But hey that me.

by the way she helped me by giving me a science formula (I was soon going to do a science test, and I didn't feel prepared at all). Her formula helped me a lot. The next day (yesterday), I told her how much her help had been useful. She couldn't stop smiling. She even told the girl beside us (we both talk to her sometimes) that her help has been very useful for me. I mean, she wanted to show to her that she's done something amazing to me.

I think this could mean something.
