How to flirt at a restaurant?

Hey everyone! I saw a girl working at a restaurant a few weeks ago who I thought was really cute. The restaurant was the type where you order at a counter and then the food is brought out to you at your table. Anyway, I ordered with this girl and I almost got the impression she was shy in front of me. She fumbled a bit while typing and even made a little comment to me about it.

Later, I walked by her and we had one of those moments where you both are in each others' way so you kind of stop and try to go the opposite direction- not easy to describe :) Anyway, she kind of smiled and looked down as she walked by.

So, I just want to ask 2 things. 1. Do you think there was any interest? 2. What could I do to start a conversation with her in this environment to give me the chance to ask her out?

1. Possibly, it certainly sounds like something is there.

2. Introduce yourself and ask her when her shift ends (or when her break is) or ask for her phone number. You don't want to spend too long at the counter talking to her because you will hold up the line and could get her in trouble.
