Why was he teasing me?

I was hanging out with my hot guy friend and he kept teasing me in a fun sort of way. I got a new purse and because of the material it has that like new car smell.and I know its only temporary.and he kept teasing me about like off and on during the time we were hanging out.it wasn't mean or anything.it was actually funny but why was he doing this?

Yeah it doesn't always mean he likes me does it? Or coudl it be also cause he can joke with me cause ill take it

No, he likes you! When I like a girls I will tease her, kind of like it gives me more to talk about & I get to get close to her and mayby touch her arm or hand something like that. It's good that you can take a joke, he likes that too. If he didn't like you he wouldn't waste time kidding with you & singling you out.

Its hard to tell sometimes with my crush because last few times I saw him he was REALLY flirty and playful and kept making fun of himself and tickling me and today he was in a good mood but he was also in a serious mood. But then again at times he was teasing me off and on...and the end of it all he didn't really try to prolong the evening or anything.

He sounds a LOT like me. I will make fun of myself just for laughs & so that if a person doesn't like what I'm making fun of than they don't get mad at me or in a bad mood.

Why would he be flirty if he didn't like you? The same goes for the playful teasing.

Where were you and how do you think that he could have prolonged the evening??

For right now I think that you should not over analize the situation & go with the he likes you.

Do you ever thouch his arm or shoulder? I like that .

He started off as my personal trainer but we became friends over time and have hung out at parties and group type of events a few times. But the times where he was making fun of himself and etc. he was training me and same goes for the day where he was in a serious mood...I mean we were training the other night but he was in a good mood and teasing me but he was also in "trainer" mode as well..the last few times he was all playful but thursday night he wasn't...it was 1/2 serious and 1/2 teasin

Not that night know...there are times where I have touched his arm/shoulder or something because it was required durring training but I don't think I have much when we're socializing...at parties and stuff I have hugged him before but if we're training and we happened to be socializing at that moment...i don't think I've ever touched him.

Ahhh the plot thickens. We would expect him to be 1/2 & 1/2 when he is working. You are paying him so he needs to be in his personal training mode. Most of the personal trainers that I know (3) are a lot of things. Trainers, friends& therapists.So you should know if he has a girlfriend or not. The big picture is that you do see him outside the gym. You do hug him as a greeting. How are his hugs? Come on you know the difference. At parties try & hang around him a bit. Not like connected at the hip ....

But more or less move in for some conversation if it's going well hang out for a bit. Touch his arm & say your going for a drink do you want one or touch him & say that's a funny story. Leave for a bit say I'll be back in a while. See how he responds. Like where are you going or will you be back, don't be gone too long. Now I see how it's a little harder to get a read on him because he is your trainer. I still say that in social situations if he pays a lot of attention to you than he likes you.

Sure he's gotta be professional too but some things he has said weren't "professional" in nature...he's also way to nosy about my personal life...sometimes when I'm on my cell he asks me who I'm talking to..and keeps asking...he's offered me rides home...he asks about family, work, personal stuff. He's offered to help me when it came to personal situations and I used to catch him watching me from afar even when I'm elsewhere in the gym. That's why I call him a friend ebcause we've shared

Info about ourselves that's more than just small talk...he's been there for me in a non professional manner...lately eh's been really playful though...teasing, tickling, asking too many questions, but the last time I was training with him he was more serious than playful but he was still in a happy mood and he did manage to tease me a lot lol...i just don't know where I stand...i can't figure him out

I still say he likes you! Yes in the gym he may have "professionally" crossed the line by asking who you were talking to on your cell, but as a friend? Did it offend you? Too pushy? (just a side note; why are you on your cell at the gym? Unless you have a sick parent or child most trainers will not allow cell phones. Are you the exception that he's making? You pay him a lot of $ why are you on your phone? When I'm in the gym I shut mine off or leave it in my locker, it's all business)...........

I still say that he likes you. Sure he may not be professional when he is asking about who you were talking to on your cell phone. Did it offend you? Most trainers will not let you use your cell phone(unless you have a sick parent or child) as you are paying them a lot of money. I leave mine in my locker or turn it off when I am at the gym. See now way too nosy about your personal life. Friend like? Probably. You wrote this so I take it that this kind of offends you. He's asking you about.......

Sorry I didn't see my comments went through. He asks a lot of personal questions about family etc. something a boyfriend or want to be boyfriend would ask. If he's looking at you from afar doesn't that mean that he likes you? Why else would he be looking? It depends on how personal the questions & on how willing you are to answer. Being playful,tickling & that is what a boyfriend would do. Maybe he doesn't know where he stands so he's backing off a bit.He still teased you the last time so that's good. I again......

Still say that he likes you. Can't you just ask him out? Something casual like protien shakes,or ??? He was in a good mood but professional & still managed to have fun with you.

I'm not sure what else to say but I do think that he likes you. Why else would he be doing all this? Being friendly with a client & having fun with them are two different things.

I'm going to work so I won't be back on line for a good 10 hrs. Work & work out.

well- I believe he is joking around with you because he wants you to see him for his fun personality or show you a fun way of saying he likes you.
