I have been texting this guy that I've known for 4 years, he was never really my type but when I was having guy troubles a while back he was there for me. I started texting him randomly a few months later and I now have feelings for him, he knows that I like him and he always flirts with me, sometimes he jokes about sex too. He said he likes me as a friend but I don't get why he texts me 24/7 until 3 am, and always asks about my feelings if he likes me just in a friend way. I noticed that if I stop texting him he will send me three more until I reply to keep our convo going. I just don't get it. Last night he was joking about sex and I told him that I'm not interested in the subject, he then got defensive and said I flirted with him first (not true) and then he added that he "doesn't really date anyways" this was shocking to me because usually he is so sweet and sensitive, what's going on here? Is there a chance of us having a relationship if I hook up with him?

If you hook up with him after him telling you he only see's you in a friend way, and he doesn't date girls, then you will be just a free random hook up to him.

Guys don't respect girls who just easily hook up with them. Guys date girls that make guys pursue them.

Make a guy take you on at least 3 dates in public before ever going into his bedroom or yours. As a guy, I always will see what I can get away with from a girl. I love when a girl right off the bat, will come over to my house to rent a movie and cuddle in my bed, it's so easy. BUT I NEVER DATE THOSE GIRLS...I just hang out with them at my convenience...

The girls I date, refuse to just come straight to my house without getting to properly know me first.

This guy has all the red flags of a player though...

They got an old saying that guys say: Why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free?

Don't ever give away your "milk" for free. Make him pay for it, by taking you out on dates, calling you his girlfriend first, before he gets any milk.

And if he's not willing to take you on a date, than I promise he would have just slept with you and used you, and you don't want to do that to yourself. You deserve better!

THANK YOU, as for our relationship things have progressed. He told me he liked me we have hung out but not in public just hung out and chatted. He told me he wants to take me out on a date, but he still says he doesn't want a full blown relationship. last week I got pissed off at that and told him that we should be friends because it seems like he just wants to hook up with me and I want something else. I'm gonna let him text me, if he does I'll take it as he likes me, if he doesn't then whatever.

The boy likes you but he is scare that you'll reject him if he tell you that he is pursuing you. It sounds like a wall of excuse for him in case if you don't like him back. No guys will spend all these hours talking to you if he is not attract to you in the first place. If you like the guy say something to him.
