What attracts a surfer?

So I have noticed that every guy who has "pursued" me or put effort into getting to know me, has been a Southern California surfer. I am normally not interested in surfers, but it blows my mind away when every guy who adds me on fb, or asks me out is coincidentally a beach bum or boarder. I normally wear leather jackets, boots, and have long blond wavy hair. I don't live by the beach. I'm a good 4 hr drive to anywhere coastal. Could there be something that I'm doing or giving off that I always attract this type of guy? Someone mentioned "You attract what you are". I don't think I bring a "surf" vibe though... what is that all about?

Surfers like petite blondes, who appear "middle-class or above" and have decent fashion sense.

Up grew up in a seaside resort area, so I've known a lot of surfers. I guess this is the general overview I came away with.
