I am attracted to my female flatmate, what would you advise I do?

It's a very difficult situation because I'm really, really attracted to her but I know that if I say anything things could get awkward as we're living together. I don't think I can but you do think I should just ignore it? Or say something and hope for the best? I don't want to ruin our living situation because we do get on well as flatmates but I like her as more than that.

Don't ignore it if you truly have feelings for her. You might end up regretting it when you're older, like what if..?

But it's completely understandable that you don't want to risk the relationship you have already.

You could just causally mention you two being more than friends as a joke, just to see how she reacts.

If she reacts negatively, you could see it as a sign that she doesn't feel the same way. And one day, when you're not living together, you could tell her you had a thing for her, just to get it off your chest. :]

If you don't know how she took it, you could just simply ask her yourself if you feel a strong connection to her, or you could make it easy on yourself and ask a close friend of her's her opinion on you. Make sure it's someone she trusts though and one that knows her well, like a good best friend.

It may not be the best plan ever, but it's the best plan I could think of, hah.

Like the first dude said, it's probably an awful idea. "Attraction" is not a good enough reason to mess up a living arrangement. How long have you two been living together? If it's been longer than, say, two years *maybe* it's okay. If it's been less than a year, wait it out. You might get less attracted to her as you get to know her better.

Ultimately, if you really feel like it's going to be a problem for you, I would make alternate living arrangements before trying to pursue anything with this girl.
