Why does he look down while smiling in these moments?

he's my colleague and is exceptionally a serious guy and doesn't smile at all... it's like even less than once in a blue moon... but whenever i do something childish, silly or juvenile he smiles and always looks down... why does he look down? what does his looking down while smiling mean?

I can't say with absolute certainty but given how seriously he takes work and all.. I'm guessing he's lookin down, to cover-up the fact, his serious ass was smiling. More importantly though, to quietly convey the fact, it was (you) that made him smile.. It's a tactic the shy master early on in life, usually accompanied by kickin a stone and turning red, lol..

So if you're asking cause ya like the guy, tell him he's taking you out after work tonight. Since you're always having to deal with this "serious" guy at work, sigh... you'd hate him.. So now ya need a drink, to blow off some steam, etc..

If he laughs when ya act silly and all, he'll like that..
