Drunken poetry time!

Lips to glass in a kiss of inebriation.
Each intimate moment brings me closer to the edge.
I feel my body warm and my flesh tingle with anticipation for each sip of it's alcoholic nectar.
My spirit lifts and soon I am floating in a fuzzy bubble of contentment.
Soaring ever higher amongst the clouds as a pleasured sigh flows through me and into the quickly emptying bottle.
I desperately try to prolong my experience by darting my needy tongue out and letting the last few drops dance along the surface, but alas, it is empty and has left me wanting.
It is in this wanting that I find what I am truly needing.
To be filled once more so I no longer feel empty.

There is no positive to being drunk so what was the point of getting drunk. You were celebrating so it was okay to get drunk. Actually it's pathetic and stupid to get drunk.

Well there certainly good and bad opinions and then there is this one.

In the end though that's all this is, an opinion. I had fun. Others here had fun. Now as for positives, you would be incorrect to say there are none.

²I enjoyed the flavor of the drink
³it lowers my inhibitions a bit and helps get me past some of my anxieties so I was able to open up more

So, there is at least 3 positives for me so your first list is tendered pointless.

Yeah, I was celebrating and so yeah it was ok to get drunk. Glad we both came to the same conclusion even if yours was poorly worded to convey sarcasm. So line 2 has been removed from the equation.

It's neither pathetic nor stupid to get drunk when done in moderation. As you can see, I was still able to keep up with my posts and do so quite well. I only drink once every couple months. It just so happens I am extremely a lightweight when it comes to getting drunk which is why I do it in moderation to begin with. What is truly sad and pathetic is to come into one of my threads attempting to take a moral high ground when I am quite clearly able to respond and dismiss your claims.

So please do feel free to take the high horse you rode in on and head right back out to wherever you came from.

It's sad that you have to be drunk to have fun and to get past your anxieties. Being drunk means you had too much to drink. To me it is pathetic regardless hiw drunk you are be it.08 or.8. You would not get drunk if you drink in moderation.
