Is my teacher just being friendly or is this flirting?

My teacher (M30something) asked me (F18) to go play tennis with him after school and after a few days he asked again.
He is always very nice to students, but is this also considered being friendly or could it be considered flirting? I mean, it's not very common for a male teacher to ask a younger, female student to do something together just the two of them outside of school, is it?
But I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into it and he just wanted to go play tennis with someone lol.

PS He asked because he found out I play tennis, and he also enjoys this sport.

This is extremely out of line. The teacher is in the wrong asking you to participate in an activity with him one-on-one out of school hours. He is aware how this would look from an outsider’s perspective but seems to not care. How do you feel about this teacher, I’m wondering if you want him to flirt with you?

To be honest I can pick up through your question that you do like him so I’m sure he’s picked up on this too. I’m pretty sure there might be some flirting going on and he is not just being friendly. I’m a teacher myself and the make teachers I work with are extremely careful of how they behave female students as they don’t want any actions to misinterpreted. It’s quite frightening for them actually as they are so aware not do do anything that looks like they are crossing the line. The teacher you are spending time with is certainly not worried about this if he is meeting you out of school hours. He better be very careful as his job is on the line if he gets caught out.

Doesn't matter. For now, just give him the benefit of the doubt. Decline politely, and continue with class as usual.
If he persists to bother you, report him.
