Honestly your over-interest could just be coming off as pushy or too assertive because in your mind, you’re horny. We can sense that, even if you feel like you aren’t being too showy, and it’s uncomfortable and off-putting for women, especially when we aren’t specifically looking for sex. When you act how you perceive is “less interested” it’s probably you slowing down and acting more normal, therefore making them more comfortable. Anyway, I think a quick fix for this is to decide what you want right now from a person. Is it just sex/friends with benefits situation? Because if so, then be clear about your intentions from the start so that she can decide if that works for her, then your actions won’t seem so “overly interested” as you call it. That position is kind of tough, because first impressions are everything, and if you were just too assertive/pushy/etc, we form an opinion about you and your intentions, just as a guy would do if their date is being weird. You could try to reach out to her, apologize for your actions and ask for another date. But ask yourself, what do you genuinely want from her? Because if the ultimate goal is sex, then please don’t be selfish and pursue her until you get that, then ghost. You’d be better suited finding a girl who wants to same thing right out of the gate. However if you would like to work towards something with this girl, and she does agree to another date, then just be your non-horny self lol.
