I look at it like this never have been girls that I have dated we have been walking to a mall you have guys walking towards this and they just stare her down and smile it might even be a smartass and do a little hoot or holler as they walked by
Now I could get pissed for what reason there's no reason in the world to get pissed as a matter of fact I smile looking at her because I feel the same way I'm the guy that wants to Hoot and Holler I did hypocrite if I got pissed I mean this happened all the time so I can imagine how much it happens with you too I look at it as if it's a guy expressing his feelings toward you. It's kind of weird how it comes out in a sound LOL instead of hey you are absolutely beautiful using words. She said when she was with me just because I smiled about it made her smile but like I told her if you don't like it just turn around and say use your big boy words you're not five years old anymore she said she only did that a couple times but it's all good the same things happened to me I mean it I got to get my plug in here to LOL and all we could do is look at each other and smile you can't be angry over something like that but if you get angry you're just a hypocrite that's why I see it because men or women they've both done it

Where I used ot work there was a new building being built across the street. A big office building used to close at 4 o'clock and all thre employees would walk by. They were a lot of young women and the construction workers would whistle and cheer at somebody that was particularly hot. Most of the women looked mighty proud if they got the cheer of the day.

I’ve been catcalled twice. The first time was when I was walking in the mall, and it felt like the guys that were looking at me were doing it jokingly. When it feels like a joke it isn’t appreciated, but when guys genuinely mean it, I take it as a compliment. The second time was when I was walking back to my house from the beach, and the guys were sitting in the back of a pickup, looking at me. I didn’t react but it was a boost to my self confidence. 😂

As a guy, it's not really something I've had to deal with, although I'd have to say I'd welcome it for the most part as a confidence boost given my low self esteem surrounding my appearance.

I've been catcalled a couple times in my life, and both times they happened to be black girls, around their friends. It was a little awkward because they seemed like they were messing around and being insincere, like they were trying to show off to their friends. It can be interpreted different ways depending on intent and how receptive someone is to that sort of thing. Lewd behavior cans be a compliment or and insult and antagonist sometimes catcall to be mean. Sometimes not. It just depends on the situation.
