I look at it like this never have been girls that I have dated we have been walking to a mall you have guys walking towards this and they just stare her down and smile it might even be a smartass and do a little hoot or holler as they walked by
Now I could get pissed for what reason there's no reason in the world to get pissed as a matter of fact I smile looking at her because I feel the same way I'm the guy that wants to Hoot and Holler I did hypocrite if I got pissed I mean this happened all the time so I can imagine how much it happens with you too I look at it as if it's a guy expressing his feelings toward you. It's kind of weird how it comes out in a sound LOL instead of hey you are absolutely beautiful using words. She said when she was with me just because I smiled about it made her smile but like I told her if you don't like it just turn around and say use your big boy words you're not five years old anymore she said she only did that a couple times but it's all good the same things happened to me I mean it I got to get my plug in here to LOL and all we could do is look at each other and smile you can't be angry over something like that but if you get angry you're just a hypocrite that's why I see it because men or women they've both done it00 Reply

A big office building used to close at 4 o'clock and all thre employees would walk by. They were a lot of young women and the construction workers would whistle and cheer at somebody that was particularly hot. Most of the women looked mighty proud if they got the cheer of the day.

I’ve been catcalled twice. The first time was when I was walking in the mall, and it felt like the guys that were looking at me were doing it jokingly. When it feels like a joke it isn’t appreciated, but when guys genuinely mean it, I take it as a compliment. The second time was when I was walking back to my house from the beach, and the guys were sitting in the back of a pickup, looking at me. I didn’t react but it was a boost to my self confidence. 😂

I find it funny but the one that does it the most to me is my boyfriend's father he tries to embarrass me but it doesn't really work.00 Reply

+1 yAs a guy, it's not really something I've had to deal with, although I'd have to say I'd welcome it for the most part as a confidence boost given my low self esteem surrounding my appearance.
That being said, I'd accept it because it would be wanted, so I can understand women who have had to put up with it throughout their lives who hate it because it's unwanted.20 Reply
+1 yI've been catcalled a couple times in my life, and both times they happened to be black girls, around their friends. It was a little awkward because they seemed like they were messing around and being insincere, like they were trying to show off to their friends. I'd be more flattered if they had approached me and said they wanted to meet me. I imagine girls feel the same way.

+1 yIt IS flattering, especially if 1) respectful; 2) sincere.
As long as #1 occurs... your boyfriend secretly LOVES it!
NO male wants to be perceived companioned at the side of any woman NO TOHER MAN desires!
Society is STILL primitively 'hierarchical'... in times of conflict ranking's based upon ferocity;
in quiet times, ranking's borne of the fantasized quality and quantity of a male's companion (s).
STILL THAT MUCH 'bonobo' DNA in the mix!01 Reply- +1 y
Well if it respectful and sincere than it’s not catcalling that’s called a compliment.
+1 yIt can be interpreted different ways depending on intent and how receptive someone is to that sort of thing. Lewd behavior cans be a compliment or and insult and antagonist sometimes catcall to be mean. Sometimes not. It just depends on the situation.

30 ReplyI find it rude, what are they getting out of it exactly? Also they do it to nearly every woman that walks past so i definitely don't take it as flattering.

+1 yAm I tripping or are the dudes in the background of this picture (and this picture is unnecessary) floating. It looks like they're floating in mid-air but maybe I'm just trippin'
I don't get catcalled. I'd like to be just once, just to see what it feels like. I don't do it myself though. I don't think it's OK to do00 Reply
+1 yIt depends on how I think I look at the time. If I put time and effort to go out and look hot. I find it reassuring if i didn’t then it’s like ugh gross I look like crap right now. . And think the guy does it to any girl he sees and is a creeper.
00 ReplyI find it scary and I'm afraid of a man hurting me if it were to happen to me. I don't trust catcallers.

+1 yI would think it’s kinda rude. If you find someone attractive, women would probably appreciate it if you just approached them and told them nicely. But to whistle or yell at them When they’re just trying to walk and mind their business is childish

+1 yI don't like Catcalling girls or women, sure I say naughty things but
I like to respect all females and If I upset a female I want her to tell me10 ReplyI mean I feel like calling a girl beautiful or sexy is ok. Now lets say your saying nice tits/ass than yea thats to much. But saying she has a nice outfit or something is ok, to me anyway.

+1 yWhy does it always have to be cat when associated with women she's catty feline features witty as a kitty lol
Even the pussy is a pussy and kitty now😂.
And cat calling 🤯
Are women really women or just cats in disguise 🤷👻😹10 ReplyMen that want ass do that. Generally the cohort of men that want more won’t resort to uncouth antics to get your attention.
11 ReplyI think men shoukd control the catcalling. If this was a workplace just looking too long at a woman is grounds for termination to sexual harassment
10 Replyusually I like it, but some are down right vulgar, same as on here, they say what they would like to do to me,

But, I can also see your predicament when you are with your beau.00 Reply I think it's creepy, disrespectful, disgusting and can terrify some women. It needs to stop.
I don't understand why some men do it... It's not flattering and only makes you look creepy af20 ReplyI think it depends if its respectful. However it seems no women like it anymore.

There's a difference between cat-calling and harrasment. Many women (and men) adore it especially if it's from someone they know.

Any form of cat calling would feel like harassment to me. Theirs more appropriate ways to approach someone. If you dig it, good for you. We have different taste in men, and that’s OKAY.
- +1 y
Yes it definitely is immature and can be perceived as a threat and/or mockery and/or disrespect.
