No, I've heard enough horror stories that I always make sure to check the recipients before sending anything sensitive.
However- years ago, a friend set up a gmail account for me, despite my protestations, and INSISTED on using it, and only it, to communicate with me. Reluctantly, I did so. The name he used was [myfirstname].[mylastname]atgmail. com, so he'd have no trouble remembering it. The catch is, my real name, while not on the level of "john smith" isn't exactly uncommon (stupid Irish lack of creativity!), and so I got emails intended for all SORTS of other people.
Some of them were legal documents for an actual lawyer; out of respect, I never read them, and would just email back "You've got the wrong guy". But at one point, that lawyer got married, and part of the reception was at a hotel less than 100 miles from where I lived. I knew that hotel; I drove past it at least a few times every year. And one of the emails I got was about preparations for that reception. It dawned on me just how easy it would be to screw things up (isn't it traditional for some part of wedding plans to go wrong?), and REALLY drive home the point of not giving out the wrong email address, but I chose not to- I tracked down the lawyer's ACTUAL address, and told him "there is such a thing as asking too much of a man; keep tempting me at your own peril".
I've dated several women that happen to have the same first name. Several years ago, the woman I was dating and I enjoyed sexting each other, words only, usually late at night. One night, I composed a sexy text and decided to add a picture of my erect genitals, "This is what you do to me." I have fat fingers and didn't realize I tapped the name just above the one I wanted... until I got a response the next morning from her "I thought it was over between us" with a heart emoji. I accidentally hit the button. My heart stopped I have friends and family as friends on this app. My internet connection suddenly started to lag so it took a whole minute to post and two more to erase the story as with stress I suddenly forgot how to do that. Thankfully no one saw it or was notified about it but lord did it sober me up I threw my phone and quickly dressed back up I almost fucked up my life that was a traumatizing event.

We should all be careful with that whatsapp feature that allows us to send the same message to many people. I had this list of crushes I used to send generic flirting "Good Morning!" and shit (I know, I know - totally stole this from the guy's playbook lol). So, imagine my face when I accidentally send a personalized message through this chat group!! *mortified*

Oh yeah. Embarrassing and could’ve got me fired. My girlfriend and I always share stuff with each other especially from our daily lives at work. Well maybe a couple years back this guy I worked with was going to get fired. When I heard the news I sent it to my girlfriend to gossip and all that. Mainly because I wasn’t very fond of the man. Well later comes along and she calls me during my lunch break and I ask her why she hasn’t responded to my text from earlier. She replies with what text? And I go into my messages and I accidentally sent it to the same coworker I was talking about 💀
Oh Glory Be! At my old job, we were having our biannual all staff meeting which included Administration, Management, Maintenance and Facilities, and Staff. We're talking about 100 people in an auditorium. The president comes in, she's greeting everyone like normal, gets up to the podium to start the meeting, and she whips out a piece of paper. She starts reading it: "(Her name) is a total b*tch. She wants to control everything we do in the office....and it went on to describe other 'horrible' stuff she did. The room went DEAD SILENT. She ended this reading of this paper by saying, "FYI, if you want to talk about me, feel free, you just probably shouldn't include me in the email in which you do so." It was THE best meeting I ever went to in my life. When we were finally let out for a break, everyone erupted in a who done it, is someone fired, do you know who sent it. Of course we found out who, but the boss didn't fire her, but she was definitely dying inside.
I can't recall that ever happening to me. Yet there was this time long ago when I actually ended up sharing a webcam video of me naked to all my colleagues and my boss.
They just got me a new Macbook Pro to port our software to OSX. So I'm used to doing GoToMeetings on my desktop for remote meetings. I don't have a webcam on my desktop and we usually don't show webcam footage of each other (just voice).
Yet I joined the GoToMeeting session while naked after taking a shower and the damned notebook had a built-in webcam and GoToMeeting ended up automatically using it and showing the video to all my colleagues without me explicitly setting the software to use webcam.
Just once about 8 years ago. I have a female friends with benefits named Jamie and another male friend named Jame. I got stupid one afternoon and sent Jame a text meant for Jamie basically describing how I was going to remove her clothes with my teeth! Of course, Jame replied, "when did you come out of the closet?" I fixed those contacts. That won't happen again!

Yeah I sent a sexy message about eating my girlfriend pussy and went in specific detail and sent it to my sister by accident. I got a message back from her saying WHAT!!! In all caps. Luckily she knew that is was a mistake because her and my girlfriend were good friends and knew we would sext each other during the day.
