If I confessed to my crush, and he didn't say anything after that, is that a bad sign?

To be fair, it was an unplanned and impromptu confession. Although he already knew I had a crush on him, I think he never expected me to tell him. He didn't say anything after I confessed though he was smiling, maybe due to awkwardness. How should I react from here onwards?

I gave really obvious signs. I called him to hang out with me one on one, buy him lunch from time to time, and would always go the extra mile for him if he needs something.
