What would make you approach/pursue another?

What would you make go after a guy/girl to go up and small talk or hit on them and potentially get their number? (i. e.: Specific physical features, gestures, eye contact) be specific! Even if you would never approach someone, what would happen for you to say "ok he/she is definitely interested and so am i".

I liked the quality of the first conversation where it seems like we had known each other all our lives even though we didn't. That is the ultimate quality to me and then I could say whatever I wanted and it follows naturally. It's like she knew me all my life so I can't surprise her too much. And she can't surprise me.

I just like to try and fail. I found it funny if I fail and get rejected and some of my closest female friends even now that I'm married are ones who rejected me. But I took it in a good way always. I never attacked them back and didn't act creepy so most of them became my friends and even introduced to me to other girls after and sometimes even playing matchmaker.

I met my now-wife at a picnic. She was a friend of a girl I asked out because I thought she was so cute and fun. But she turned me down but I took it in a way where she still wanted to hang out with me all the time. Then she invited me to a picnic about a year later and then introduced me to my wife.

With that girl I liked so much who introduced me to my wife, I liked her so much. She was from India but so cute. Looked like a Disney character. I quick-sketched her in a bar like so:



She loved quick sketch but she told me she only dated Hindu guys to my major disappointment. But that seemed true and not only excuse because we became best friends and she only dated and later married Hindu guys ever since. But she introduced me to my wife.

I think you can do. Just be okay. You are heterosexual guy. You like girls. That is not weird. You can show that to girls you like. Just be able to take a hint. That's all you need to be bold without being an ass. Then some girls really like that even if you don't try so hard. You can just have fun but never let fear get in the way of what you want to do.
