Why did I suddenly feel closer with her when we started chatting?

She and I has been quieter with each other for no apparent reason. Then one day our eyes just met when I walked into a room with lots people in it. She and I started talking and it felt like we were closer with each other. It felt really good and I could tell it felt right.

This lady is in my volunteering group. She was acting quieter with me for no reason compared to other people. Then something changed after I helped her with something and made sure she was ok. Then she started becoming more open with me, standing next to me etc. She even was standing next to me with her foot pointing towards me. Last week we were putting on life jackets for boat training and she came over to help me without me asking

She at this stage is an acquaintance. But something feels like we are closer. When she was acting quieter towards me and only me compared to other guys, she would make small conversation with me

She at least likes you. You need to figure out as a friend or more.

I literally thought she disliked me as she was acting quiet towards me for no reason. She would speak normally towards other guys who are also just acquaintances. But with me something was different. Now when she and I speak something feels good. It's almost like I enjoy her just been next to me.

Like I was standing next to her the other day and as stupid as this sounds, her left foot/leg was turned 90 degrees pointing right at me. I've heard that feet are a sign of what that person desires or is more interested in

They’re not. You’re grasping at straws. But give it time and she might be keen. You’ll know if she is.

But she was ok with me at first. Then she went quieter with me. So I thought she didn't like me at all. Then after I helped her when she fell off her bike, something changed and now she stands next to me and talks to me a bit more
