My phone is on silent mode 24/7. People should stop expecting that get instant reaction when they send something because it's not healthy to be on your phone 24/7.

I love enjoying my day without having to check my phone every 10 minutes so people that now me know that Im not the person you should text in emergency situations. But when they call its a different situation. i will respond to phone calls as long as people dont abuse it for their own need to wanne have a useless conversation if it is unnecessary.

I grew up without a cell phone and life was much better back then. Most people are phone addicts these days but your addiction problem isn't mine so you need to go to rehab if your having problems with not getting a message back within a certain period of time.

I check my phone whenever im in the mood for it and untill then you can wait unless it is really important. Im not addicted to that stupid piece of technologie so pls don't make your problemy problem 🤷‍♂️

I do try too if I'm not busy or my phone is out of reach then I replay later on. But those people that act special replaying later just because they think is normal. Ohhh that ratels my cage!!! It can be something important that can't be said over the phone or whatever there is a reason too.

I see this trend getting out of hand so I decided to fight fire with fire I don't reply nor answer my phone to those special people I mean sure when I have to replay or answer my phone I have to do it fast but when they have to spare few seconds it's impossible.

The problem is because they get used to us being always there for them but them for us is a problem. I say remove those from your life.

Depends on who it is-

If it's work related or a close friend? Sure! I usually give in a response within minutes of receiving said text.

Now if it's someone I'm not in the mood to talk to, or an annoying coworker (you all know the type), I might not be as quick to respond and I'll get back to them when I feel like it- which can be minutes, hours... a day or so later, lol.

But usually I respond to anyone fairly quickly unless I'm busy or feeling antisocial.

In general - I'm a late responder. I'll sometimes simply not be in the mood to socialize with anyone I know IRL and shut down for a while. However, people that I'm close to know that they just have to make it clear that they're contacting me for a reason (other than small talk and/or make immediate plans) and I'll be replying ASAP.

Yes, as soon as I see them. I usually hear the notification and look at them right way. Then I respond immediately.

But I don't like texting, so engaging in conversations via text is tedious. Texting is for messaging, not conversation. If someone wants to chat, I want it via phone. If they don't want to talk on the phone, I lose interest in text conversations very quickly.

There is something immature or impersonal or something about people who want to chat via text. Fuck their emois, acronyms and shorthand. Don't waste my time.

No. I am a well-known late responder. Some people wait for days. I only have like 3-4 people I answer on time. My closest family and one of them was my ex fiance, excluding him (only 3 people), Others - depends on the mood, within a day or so, and some people - I totally forget to answer.

Not at all. Unless it’s time sensitive. It drains me. I’m so sorry to my friends who I leave on read for days lol. Sometimes a week. But I always apologise and tell them they can text me or call me whenever they need me and it’s time sensitive. So I’m not rude about it.

yeah so long as i'm not like super busy i always do. i'm a very social (and also kinda impatient) person, and i know that i wouldn't want to be left hanging if i texted someone so i just try and try and follow the golden rule and "treat other people like i'd want to be treated" with this haha

I reply when I can do so but I'm not going to sit there texting back and forth. but if she going to wait 3 hrs to text me back, I'll make her wait half the day then so she gets the point.
Women are always on their phone, yes even during work. If they not texting me for 3 hrs, it's cause they testing someone else.

I always do. I honestly feel always have the time and it doesn't take a lot of effort to give a response. And people not getting back to you for a day is one of my pet peeves. No matter how busy you are, you have at least a few seconds to send a message. Everyone is just pathetic at communicating and makes equally pathetic excuses.

For the most part. However, sometimes I am caught up in what I am doing. For instance, I was cutting some trees down today on my property. I took down 5 leaning trees and cut them up which took 5 hours. I told people I would be busy though. Tough to respond when you have a chainsaw in your hands of 4 hours straight, filling the ATV up and unloading at the house.

It depends. It usually takes me a few minutes, if I'm busy, I might not respond to anyone for an hour or two.

If I'm driving, I won't usually reply. Unless someone's asking me a yes or no question or telling them I'm driving is necessary.

Yes! I don't make anyone wait just for the sake of it or follow any "3 minute rule". If I like the person and I'm free then I reply right away. If they had left me on read previously (a lot of girls do that) then I give them a taste of their own medicine when they text again 😌

No, I think replying as soon as they send a message makes you look like you have nothing else to do only sit on a phone all day.

I reply when I’m ready if I have the phone in my hand at the time then I’ll reply quite quickly but otherwise I’ll just reply when I’m ready to.
