What do I do with a crush on a dad as a minor?

I (F17) have a crush on this dad. I don’t know anything about him, but we’ve had a few interactions at my job, where I watch kids from my school. One of the kids I watch is his child. From the first moment I saw this man, I couldn’t take my eyes off him. Every time I see after I get so flustered it’s like my heart stops but my face turns bright red immediately. Even thinking or talking about him gets me like that and I’m not sure what to do!! I can’t have a crush on this man!!! I think him and his wife are divorced, and before he saw me with a backpack (where I looked stupid with it which I’m very embarrassed about), he winked at me!!(I’m not sure what kind of wink it was) This man is so attractive, it makes me act stupid. Not to mention he has this very sexy Spanish accent because I’ve been told he’s from Spain. I turned 17 a couple months ago and this man has greying hairs. My friends also judge me and they’ve said he’s not as good looking as I made him out to be, which I don’t understand (he’s ridiculously gorgeous). His kid is hilarious and fun to be around, but when I look at his face, it just looks so much like his dad’s, it makes me sad because I wish to see his dad again. I want to talk to him but what would I talk about while I’m at work? "Sooo your kid is great, hahaha what’s your name? " I want to know so much about him but I’m nervous and flustered and it’s illegal!!! But I also wait until I can see him next because I want him to want to see me too. Please help me. I need to get rid of this feeling or find a way to find out more.

You can talk to him about things that his kid did that day, or something funny his kid did. If it turns into a conversation, you can say "Oh, I'm (name) by the way." and he'll tell you his name.

But honestly, it shouldn't be something that you pursue seriously. The age gap alone means that there will be a lot that you won't have in common. But maybe having a conversation or two will help get it out of your system.

Even if you find him attractive, he is unlikely to find you interesting. The age gap and life experience differences would make finding a common topic to talk about difficult.

The max you could expect is to become his plaything, but not for long. If he is mature, he should keep you at a distance.
