I find if you are common and typical, you might have to initiate to get things going. Not insulting, cause you might be a very attractive person inside, but girls are too busy to scope out opportunities that do not chase them.

Without knowing what effort you make it’s impossible to tell if it’s “normal” for women to pass you by.

If you’re the overweight stinky guy in dirty clothes and you have no personality or social IQ then yeah, it’s probably normal.

Don't worry about it. As a female myself, I know that many girls, including me, are too shy to flirt, so it’s likely not about your appearance. Attraction is complex, and just because no one has openly flirted with you doesn’t mean you’re not attractive. Don’t let society’s ‘standards’ define your worth:P

I don't flirt with very many guys, so if that's true of most girls (I don't know whether it is or not but I would guess yes), then that would mean most guys don't get flirted with. I don't think they should take it too seriously.

I will say guys who are absolute no's for me, it's usually their own doing, and there are many things they could do to make themselves more attractive to girls, not just looks.

Thing is that a lot of women refrain from expressing sexual or romantic interest until the guy has expressed interest first.

Post-Corona some even consider normal social behaviour like approaching a guy to have a conversation as making a move.
