My favorite compliments are things not everyone has & instead are things that you have to actively work to have & keep. Like for instance if someone says that I'm good at being considerate. I put a lot of effort into being considerate so I'd appreciate that compliment way more than a surface level one like "you have a nice smile"

I always get good ones from random men online.. You got to love younger guys they are always way sweeter than guys my own age or older. I like when guys tell me they love my eyes since it seems a little bit more personal and less sexual than other compliments.

In a brand new high school starting as a sophomore I had the most popular/best-looking senior girl, a girl I had never met as I was brand-new to the school, jump from her desk in a classroom and yell after me, "you are the most beautiful man I've ever seen". I had just come back from a vacation in the Carribean in the NorthEast winter and was tan at a time when tans were considered healthful appearing but it was an incredible ego boost. Senior girls who were as hot as she was as well as head cheerleader & homecoming queen did not say that shit to sophomore guys, esp. those who nobody knew because of how new I was. She shouted it loud enough for anyone lingering in hallways to hear so it got plenty of airplay. The quality of dates increased quite a bit after that.
