Is it wrong to flirt with service staff to get free food?

Not saying it works 100 percent of the time. But if my waitress is cute sometimes I go in dressed up. Like a cowboy shirt and I just talk to her and see how she reacts. If she isn’t giving in seems face nice or like she got a man I drop it.

But I get like free deserts and constant refills. Just all kinds of stuff. Had my dinner on the house once at Texas Roadhouse cause I kept flirting with this girl there. I left a tip about the size of what the meal costed so. Don’t worry about that.

Yo, I get wanting to try and get some free stuff, but flirting with the waitstaff to do it is kind of a shady move, dude. That's taking advantage of them, and it's not really fair to the other customers either.

I mean, those servers are just trying to do their jobs, you know? They shouldn't have to put up with customers hitting on them just to get discounts or free food. That's straight-up harassment, even if you think you're being smooth about it.

Plus, what if the waitress actually has a boyfriend or just isn't interested? Then you're putting her in an awkward position where she has to either go along with it or risk getting in trouble at work. That's super disrespectful, man.

I know the free stuff is tempting, but you gotta think about the bigger picture here. Those servers are people too, not just targets for your hustle. They deserve to be treated with respect, not used for your own personal gain.

If you want free food, there are way better ways to go about it that don't involve manipulating people. Maybe look into loyalty programs, coupons, or just being a regular, polite customer. But leave the flirting and game-playing out of it, you feel me?

Be better than that, dude. Have some integrity. The thrill of getting free stuff isn't worth making someone else uncomfortable or compromising your own values. Just keep it classy, alright?

True. I don’t outright flirt too hard I test the waters and am genuinely nice. I tend to get a lot of attention sometimes but I don’t mean any harm.

The trick is to ask a waitress if she’s being flirty what her favorite desert item is. Without ordering it or asking for it sometimes she will bring out a sample like half a brownie or a full desert. Like a key lime pie

I mean it depends on the way you do it my friend don’t get me wrong being friendly and even flirtatious with waitresses (or waiters) can at times get you comped free food or other things. But it’s how you go about doing it if you’re too overly flirty you may just creep her out…. And that’s not something you want.

I would say just be friendly if the place isn’t super busy maybe ask her a question and see if she wants to talk. Become a regular is the second thing a lot of times servers actually enjoy talking to certain customers when it’s not as busy to pass the time so if you’re someone she likes talking to and maybe even flirty if she thinks you’re cute. Then go for it…. As long as you’re not being rude, creepy, or trying to be too manipulative.

I just dress up not super fancy but like a flannel shirt and button myself up. I make eye contact and it starts with like hey oh you look exhausted you are working so hard how don’t your feet hurt. Stuff like that.

Make conversation make eye contact. If she starts like touching me or awwing me. I may bring up like asking her what her favorite desert is. I’m careful to never ask someone directly for anything free. Bur a lot of times they will just bring it out to me

I would say number one it depends on how the guy went about it and the waitress in question. Some restaurants do allow servers to comp things for customers. It’s not super uncommon for waiters and waitresses to comp things to people they think are cute.

But that’s assuming she’s attracted. If someone acted too creepy or for instance was too overly flirty with a woman who’s taken. It could just creep her out.
