At work when we are bored we play a game called " the personal space game " . This is where you have to walk up to somebody and sit down as close as you can to them .
The object of the game is to see how many seconds it takes for them to move about 3 inches away . A silly game ... but it's interesting to see that even people who have been friends for years will move away if somebody gets in their space .
I have a reason for telling you this story :D
During the last couple of months I have got talking to a man on the bus ( If you've read any of my other questions you must be getting bored of this story by now ha ha !)
When we first got talking we used to sit in the seats in front and behind each other . One day there was no room so we sat side by side . This has become normal for us .
We talk a lot , sometimes serious , sometimes joking and a bit of teasing.
I've noticed that the last 3 times we've sat together he's sat with his thigh touching mine . ( not a light touch , I can feel the pressure and the heat from his leg !) I think the first time it may have been accidental , we were having a fun conversation and it took me a while to notice what had happened . Neither of us moved away .
The last couple of times he's sat sat by me he always leans his thigh against me . There is plenty of room so it isn't like we are crammed together . In fact I can honestly say that I've never had that kind of body contact on a bus with anyone before.
I don't get the impression that he's a very touchy feely kind of guy but am I reading too much into this ?

Ha ha ! Just one guy ... and a guy who maybe doesn't know the personal space rules . Maybe he thinks that he needs a seat and a half when he's on the bus :D
