I looked particularly nice that day.

I blushed a bit and said my order.

I highly doubt he was interested in me, so what was the point?

From what I've gathered this past year some guys flirt like it's a sort of physical tick... like thrumming your fingers on the table when you're impatient. It's just something to do bc you're there and he's there. Once you're out of sight he will forget you.

But, yes, flirting is fun in its own right. It's just verbal ping pong, but it passes the time in a pleasant way. It would be accurate to say that most guys flirt at times without any expectation.
